Lesson 2 - Lessons Learned from Accidents
Welcome to Lesson 2. This portion of the course looks back at the history of 10 major airplane accidents. These accidents were chosen for their watershed effects. Each one has had a lasting effect on the way the industry conducts its business and each accident involved multiple engineering disciplines, and provided precursor information that, if recognized in time, might have prevented them.
The 10 accidents listed below are presented in chronological order beginning with the oldest first. It is important for you to review these accidents in order.
